For over two decades, WWE veteran Rey Mysterio has captivated audiences with his innovative moves and breathtaking agility. Now, the high-flying luchador legend has dropped some hints about when he might hang up his mask and boots.

Last week on Monday Night RAW, The Master of 619 participated in the Money in the Bank Qualifying Match. He clashed with Finn Balor and Jey Uso in a Triple Threat Match, and it was the former Bloodline member who secured the win.

The LWO member dropped the United States Championship to Logan Paul at Crown Jewel in 2023. Since then, Rey has been unable to capture any titles in the company.

During an appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, the 49-year-old was asked how much longer he wanted to wrestle between the ropes. The legendary performer wondered if his body could keep up with the demands of the ring in the next two or three years.

"I don’t until it’s being brought up, and when my wife brings that up, that’s when I pause. I don’t know if I want to do it another two years, three years. I kind of listen to my body and my mindset, because my body’s been feeling great. And with all the benefits that I get from doing things like the cold plunge and the sauna," he said. (H/T: CVV)

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion added:

"Overall, my mind has to be in the right place, so that’s probably the hardest thing for me. Because sometimes the age factor comes into mind, not in the moment, but thinking ahead, like I want to be able to still move around and walk at 55 or 56. Is my body going to feel the same?" (H/T: CVV)

Rey Mysterio breaks character to praise top WWE Superstar

The former SmackDown Superstar recently broke his on-screen persona to talk about his son, Dominik Mysterio. The father-son duo parted ways after The Judgment Day faction took Dirty Dom under their wing.

Dominik and the 49-year-old squared off at WrestleMania 39 as a result of their rivalry. During the same conversation, Rey noted that Dominik Mysterio will be a World Champion down the line because he has been inside the ring against the likes of Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, and a few others.

"Yeah, most definitely. Dom is getting really good at what he’s doing, and he’s understanding the craft. The fact that he’s where he’s at with such little time makes me wish I could be there, or I could have been there with four years of being in the business," Rey Mysterio said.

Meanwhile, the father-son duo will lock horns in a singles match next week on RAW. It will be interesting to see if Dom Dom avenges his WrestleMania 39 defeat against his legendary father.
