WWE legend says Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker deserves bigger spotlight

Bron Breakker introduced the essence of his rivalry with Jey Uso, which is a story of two wrestling families: the Steiners and the Anoa'i family. Unlike the main event programs, the Intercontinental Championship is relegated to the weekly shows. Uso defeated Breakker less than a month after their feud commenced, and WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi has something to say about this.

Speaking on Rikishi Fatu Off The Top, Rikishi noted how the two young stalwarts need a bigger spotlight. While the story is there, it is incomplete without a proper build and a PLE showdown. The Hall of Famer also feels that WWE can easily incorporate blood into this narrative:

"I would have loved to see that match on a big pay-per-view [premium live event] though," Rikishi spoke about Jey Uso winning the belt. "Kind of teased it on a Monday Night RAW, go into some type of match on pay-per-view, and just let them go. I would have loved to see some blood. Just the drive to be number one." Jey Uso defeated Bron Breakker on the September 23 episode of RAW. The 26-year-old appeared to have turned babyface a week later, but it was a ruse. He attacked Uso this past Monday, giving an expletive explanation for his actions.

Rikishi gets emotional talking about Jey Uso's first WWE singles championship

When the co-host pointed out that Rikishi and his son Jey Uso have had similar paths in WWE, the Hall of Famer got emotional.

He praised Uso for making all the "right choices" and being a "role model" to everyone by staying out of trouble. The former Bloodline member has also emerged as one of the biggest merchandise movers in the business today.

"When I see my boy win the title, I teared up. I did. I was just so proud. That finally, after years and years, his hard work, pounding his body, that little frame of his, 230 pounds of his body. We don't know how much broken bones are in there. How long will that body be able to keep moving, at the pace that he's going. But you can just see, he's in his moment." [From 20:10 to 20:52]

WWE is yet to announce the sequel to Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker. As of this writing, it is reportedly not planned for the upcoming PLE, Crown Jewel, set to emanate from Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
