WWE legend thinks Liv Morgan's friend is a new Chyna; says what huge role she can play (Exclusive)

WWE Bad Blood 2024 Premium Live Event saw Liv Morgan retaining her Women's World Championship in the wake of a disqualification loss against Rhea Ripley. Although Dominik Mysterio could not help Liv because of being locked up in a shark cage, his shoes were filled by her friend. Morgan's former tag team partner, Raquel Rodriguez, is now donning a new gimmick with her comeback. Notably, WWE legend Teddy Long thinks the gimmick has turned the 33-year-old star into the new Chyna.

The Ninth Wonder of the World was a very popular superstar and the only female wrestler to hold the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Notably, she also had a highly unique gimmick as Triple H's bodyguard, which was a new experimental concept. However, the experiment paid off and was well-received by fans.

Legendary wrestling journalist Bill Apter and WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long joined Mac Davis on this week's episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Time Machine podcast. The duo of Long and Apter talked about Rodriguez acting like a bodyguard as she escorted Dirty Dom and Liv Morgan around, which highly resembles Chyna's gimmick.

Teddy Long even mentioned that Rodriguez can play a huge role with this gimmick in the future:

"Well, you know, when you talk about it, like we were saying, you know, Chyna, you know, that's what she was with DX. She was kind of like the bodyguard. And, you know, we do have Triple H, the guy that's in charge there. So, you know, all of that seems to be, you know, something that he would, you know, be a part of. I like the idea. I certainly do like it. It's a move for women in wrestling, and like I said, I'm not comparing her to nobody, because I don't know yet. Anyway, I agree with you guys. There's certainly a lot of Chyna there, but I just want to wait and see what happens here. But, I think this is a good move for her, and I think if they do it right, they got something." This week on SmackDown, Raquel helped protect Liv Morgan from a sudden ambush by Rhea Ripley. Mami followed Morgan to the blue brand and attempted to attack her after the latter was in the ring with Nia Jax. However, The Eradicator missed it and took out The Irresistible Force instead.

Following this, Dirty Dom made a timely distraction and Rodriguez pulled Liv Morgan out of the ring to save the day.

It would be interesting to see how the 33-year-old star helps The Judgment Day, which consists of Finn Balor, Dominik, JD McDonagh, Carlito, and Liv, maintain its dominance on RAW.
