WWE ran M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England, earlier today. The company is currently on its four-night trip to the UK. The tour, which included non-televised live events, began on Sunday with a show at Utilita Arena in Cardiff, Wales.
Today marked World Wrestling Entertainment's first and only event in Liverpool this year. The only advertised match that did not happen was Kofi Kingston vs. World Heavyweight Champion Gunther in a Street Fight. Chad Gable ended up replacing Kingston in a repeat of Sunday, which forced a character change for The Ring General.
Jey Uso retained the Intercontinental Championship over Bron Breakker in the opening match of today's WWE live event. Jey's sister-in-law was in action next as Naomi defeated Tiffany Stratton. The Women's Money in the Bank briefcase holder went viral for her significant botch in the match.

Andrade defeated Santos Escobar in the third match of the night. A correspondent reported that both superstars were equally over in the action-packed bout. A Street Fight was held next, with Nia Jax retaining the Women's Championship over Bayley. Jax won due to heel shenanigans, but The Role Model got the last laugh as she put The Irresistible Force through a table after the match.
Gunther then retained the World Heavyweight Championship over Chad Gable. The Ring General once again worked as a babyface and was over in a major way with the UK crowd. Gable tried to stick his moonsault, but it was countered, and then the champion nailed a dropkick and a powerbomb to pin the challenger.
The Bloodline was out next for trios action. Jacob Fatu and WWE Tag Team Champions Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa failed to defeat the team of Randy Orton and #DIY.
After a triple-draping DDT, Orton dropped Tonga with the RKO while Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa counted the pin with the referee. The WWE United States Championship was up for grabs in the co-main event of the night. LA Knight retained over Shinsuke Nakamura.
The WWE Universe went wild as the Steel Cage was lowered over the ring for the night's main event. The hard-hitting match saw Cody Rhodes retain the Undisputed Championship over Solo Sikoa. The American Nightmare got the pin after another massive Cody Cutter from the cage. Cody took time out to greet fans and sign autographs after the match.
