WWE continued their four-night tour of Ireland and the UK on Monday with a live event in London, England. This marked WWE's return to the O2 Arena, with multiple correspondents reporting that the crowd was smaller than usual.
Kevin Owens and Shinsuke Nakamura were both advertised for WWE London, but not used. Bianca Belair was also advertised but did not appear. It's interesting how Jade Cargill was removed from the initial promotional material, but Belair was kept, and they worked both shows in Saudi Arabia this weekend. As was the case on Sunday at the tour opener in Dublin, there was some fan chatter over Randy Orton's absence. He was originally advertised but quietly removed due to the storylines.
Sarah Schreiber opened the show as the host and ring announcer. Carmelo Hayes and Andrade battled for the number one contendership to the WWE United States Championship. Hayes got the win after a low blow and a ref bump and out came LA Knight to immediately grant the title shot. Knight then hit the BFT to squash Hayes and retain.
Michin and B-Fab beat Chelsea Green and Piper Niven in tag team action.
The Bloodline came out next. Jacob Fatu led Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa to the ring to chants for Roman Reigns and The Usos. They defeated The Street Profits, and Fatu was involved. The Samoan Werewolf played the ringside heel role well, noted our correspondent, who added that Fatu also seemed to enjoy the fan exchanges.
The Steel Cage came into play next as Nia Jax retained the WWE Women's Championship over Bayley to send the show into intermission. The Irresistible Force won by simply walking out of the cage door after tying The Role Model to the ring post.
After the intermission, DIY defeated Pretty Deadly in what was described as a strong mix of tag team action and comedy. Tommaso Ciampa pinned Kit Wilson after DIY's double-team finisher. Naomi then defeated Tiffany Stratton in what was said to be an equal match. The former SmackDown Women's Champion played the heel while The Center Of The Universe tried to play the heel but was loudly cheered.
The main event saw Cody Rhodes retain the Undisputed WWE Championship in a Street Fight. The back-and-forth brawl ended with Cody and Solo Sikoa trading finishers before the champion powerbombed the challenger on top of a table. Rhodes continued and finished Sikoa off with a Cross Rhodes, then spent a fair amount of time with fans at ringside, taking photos and signing autographs.
