WWE has been having an incredible year thus far. The company decided to end the year with a major announcement just hours before SmackDown.
WWE is the global juggernaut it is today due to the incredible amount of money the company spends on marketing and its partnerships. Over the years, the Stamford-based promotion has forged partnerships with several other companies and brands.
One of the most well-known partnerships that the promotion has formed in recent years has been with the A&E Network which grants the TV network to original WWE programming. One of the shows run on the A&E Network is WWE Rivals, which provides fans with a behind-the-scenes look at some of the greatest rivalries in history.
Now, the Stamford-based promotion has announced that it is expanding its partnership with A&E to include more shows, such as WWE LFG (Legends & Future Greats), a new series that will feature in-ring matches and a behind-the-scenes look at some of the rising talent trying to earn themselves a contract with the Stamford-based promotion. The rising talent will be mentored by legends such as Triple H, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and Booker T.
Apart from this, A&E will also launch another show called WWE's Greatest Moments, which aims to provide fans with a behind-the-scenes look at some of the most historic moments in the company's history. The show will be 30 minutes long and will be hosted by Michael Cole and will feature appearances from other superstars and legends like Kevin Owens and Stone Cold Steve Austin as they recount some of the greatest moments in history. WWE Rivals will also be renewed for a new season. With the announcement of these new shows, A&E will add more than 180 hours of original content to its catalog over the next three years.
Triple H commented on WWE LFG (Legends & Future Greats)
WWE LFG will be a ground-breaking show that will provide fans some insight into what it takes to finally earn a contract with the Stamford-based promotion. It will also provide the young upcoming wrestlers a massive opportunity to fulfill their dreams of being a WWE Superstar. Some of this young talent will also get the chance to work with legends like Bubba Ray Dudley, Booker T, Shawn Michaels, and many more.
Triple H recently took to social media to confirm the news of the company's newest show on the A&E Network.
"For the first time ever, we're showing you what REALLY goes into being a @WWE Superstar..." he wrote.
