WWE has progressed significantly with Triple H at its helm. However, Vince Russo thinks that it was still not on the right path regarding how it caters to a specific part of the audience.
Over the years, the Stamford-based promotion has often prioritized storylines in its presentation, leading to more casual fans tuning in. However, Vince Russo believes that this strong point of the company is now a major drawback, as the new storylines seem to be targeted to entertain only the hardcore fans of the product.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's Writing with Russo, the veteran explained that WWE is currently not even making an attempt to attract new fans. He also talked about how the hardcore fans were generally supportive, so it made sense to cater to newer audiences instead of them.

"That's what they wanna do because they love it so much and it is such a big part of their lives. They want to support it. Whether it's cash, whether is buying a ticket, whatever it is. And it just so weird because like you said, the WWE does not need to cater to those people. They are supporting it because they want to. So take their money, let them support you, but I don't know why you would cater to that fanbase." [16:42 onwards]

The WWE veteran has also made comments about Dominik Mysterio
Apart from being critical of much of WWE's practices in general, Vince Russo has also stated that Dominik Mysterio is not a draw for casual wrestling audiences.
Speaking on an episode of Legion of RAW, the former head writer claimed that Dominik was at a high spot on the roster only due to his ties to Rey Mysterio. He stated:
"No casual wrestling fan is gonna be interested in Dominik Mysterio. I'm sorry. Dominik, listen, all respect to his dad [Rey Mysterio]. I always had a very, very good relationship with his dad. Come on, bro, if Dominik Mysterio's last name was not Mysterio, would he be on this show? Come on, stop. Let's just be honest," Russo said. [From 26:32 onwards]
Dominik Mysterio is currently involved in a storyline with Liv Morgan, and it remains to be seen how it pans out in the coming weeks.
