WWE name reacts to Sami Zayn's proclamation on RAW

Sami Zayn kicked off the May 20, 2024, episode of WWE RAW. The Intercontinental Champion instantly had all the fans in his camp who constantly chanted his name before he began his promo. Interestingly, the Canadian Superstar’s promo greatly impressed Corey Graves.

Sami Zayn delivered a strong message to the audience and explained why he had agreed to appear for a Triple Threat title defense. Zayn said that he had two problems on his hands, Chad Gable and Bronson Reed, and he wanted to deal with them together.

Ending his monologue, the champion enunciated all the syllables of the word Intercontinental and said he would retain his title. Impressed by this, WWE commentator Corey Graves posted a tweet on X.

“Never heard anybody respect EVERY letter of “Intercontinental” like @SamiZayn just did. #WWERaw," Corey Graves wrote.

While Cory Graves loved Zayn’s promo, Chad Gable seemed to have taken offense at the Intercontinental Champion’s words. He said that the Canadian Superstar was ungrateful for calling him manipulative when his coaching helped him win the title.

Interestingly, however, the Intercontinental Champion’s words turned out to be true when he manipulated Otis. While the Alpha Academy wrestler was unwilling to attack Sami Zayn during the match, a slap from his mentor made him interfere, resulting in Gable’s win.

It would be interesting to see if the IC Champion was right when he said he had two problems at King of the Ring.
