On the latest episode of SmackDown, it was announced that a top WWE star will return next week on the blue brand. The person in question is Logan Paul, the reigning United States Champion.
The Maverick competed in a triple threat Money in the Bank qualifying match two weeks ago on SmackDown against LA Knight and Santos Escobar, which he lost after The Megastar pinned him. He has held the United States Title for 252 days now, but has only defended it twice.
On the blue brand this week, LA Knight showed up in the ring and announced that he received a contract from Nick Aldis for a U.S. Championship match at SummerSlam. The general manager already signed it, and LA Knight signed it in the ring. He then called out Logan Paul to sign on the dotted line as well to make the match official, but the latter was not in the arena.

LA then said that he'll make sure he gets Logan Paul's signature, as he wants to take his championship at The Biggest Party of the Summer. Later on, WWE announced that Logan Paul will return to SmackDown next week.
If he signs the contract, LA Knight will officially be the #1 contender for the coveted United States Championship.
