Trick Williams has been involved in a feud with Ridge Holland after the latter attacked him at NXT Halloween Havoc 2024. Ridge earned the right to face Trick for the NXT Championship after he defeated Andre Chase on the November 19 episode of NXT. Some fans feel Ridge will be the toughest and most dangerous opponent the NXT Champion has faced during his title reign.
Tonight on NXT, both men came face-to-face in a segment that also involved Eric Bischoff. After a back-and-forth exchange of words, Holland got into the head of Trick, which caused the latter to punch him. However, this backfired on the NXT Champion as Ridge Holland laid him out on the announcer's table. Following the attack, Trick had to be carried out of the arena on a stretcher.

If ever given a chance to change a storyline, Sunil would have booked Roman Reigns to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak instead of Brock Lesnar.
