WWE just confirmed John Cena's comments about his farewell tour, which will start in early 2025. WWE EVP Chris Legentil confirmed that, as Cena previously mentioned, the tour will be worldwide.

Cena is going to hang up his boots a year from now. Months ago, the WWE legend announced that he would have a lengthy retirement tour next year, ending in December 2025.

In a chat with The Sports Media Podcast, WWE EVP Chris Legentil confirmed Cena's recent statement about his farewell tour. Here's what Legentil said:

"John Cena, as you might know, is going on his farewell tour. He announced last July that he's retiring. But he's going out on his own terms. He's gonna do a full year-long tour with us. And that's gonna be worldwide. We think that the opportunity for the people to see John Cena one last time all around the world is going to be quite powerful." [37:04-37:19]

What were John Cena's comments about his farewell tour?

Back in August 2024, Cena spoke with Collider and opened up about his WWE farewell tour. Here's what the veteran said:

"I can probably confirm that Peacemaker will take us to the end of 2024, and I can say that with the utmost conviction because I have given the calendar year 2025 to WWE. I am retiring in 2025, and I start that farewell tour in January. I'll end it in December, and it's going to be right around 36 dates around the world to pay thanks and gratitude to the WWE audiences around the world. So that's what I'm doing in 2025."
