On the latest episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, Sami Zayn's challenger for the Intercontinental Championship was confirmed for SummerSlam. Bron Breakker defeated Ilja Dragunov to become the number one contender for the coveted title.

The former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion had the opportunity to win the gold at Money in the Bank, but he lost the bout. On RAW this week, Bron Breakker and Ilja Dragunov competed in the opening match of the show. During the bout, the former nailed the latter with a spear at ringside.

The Mad Dragon took a nasty bump on the floor, and he was unable to continue. As a result, the official called for the bell and Breakker was declared the winner via referee stoppage. Bron Breakker vs. Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship is now official for WWE SummerSlam.

After the match, Sami Zayn was interviewed backstage on RAW and he advised his SummerSlam opponent to take him seriously this time, as he will do everything to make sure that he remains the IC Champion when the dust settles. It'll be interesting to see who will walk out of The Biggest Party of the Summer as the champion.
