WWE is trying to expand its marketplace all across the globe by setting up major events in different parts of the world. The Stamford-based company is reportedly trying to set up a premium live event in Europe for next year.
World Wrestling Entertainment returned to the UK for Money In The Bank earlier this year. The Stamford-based promotion is all set to have a big event in Saudi next week. The sports entertainment juggernaut also announced the Elimination Chamber premium live event for Australia in 2024. The most recent announcement was for a show in Germany, namely Bash in Berlin.
According to a report by Fightful Select, WWE is considering Paris to host a major premium live event. The name of the show isn't finalized yet. But, as per the report, Backlash is internally listed for Paris during the Spring of 2024. Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful also shared the same on his Twitter account.
"Fightful Select has confirmed that Paris, France is being heavily discussed by WWE for a 2024 PLE," he tweeted.
