WWE has been making several Uncle Howdy teases every week on Friday Night SmackDown. So far, the rumored Wyatt 6 faction has only showcased a digital presence on the blue brand. However, it has already generated a lot of hype among fans, owing to which, a wrestling veteran recently praised WWE.
Eric Bischoff spoke about the Uncle Howdy storyline on the latest episode of his 83 Weeks podcast. The former RAW General Manager said that he respected the amount of risk WWE was taking with this storyline since it could easily backfire.
"I have no idea [if it will work] but hats off to WWE for having the b***s to try it, because it's a high-risk maneuver… I say that because if it comes together and it works, it can be massive. But if it doesn't come off, if it doesn't register, the letdown is gonna be huge," Eric Bischoff said. [H/T WrestlingINC]
The reason behind Bischoff saying that the storyline could fail lies in the fact that it has only been ten months since the unfortunate demise of Bray Wyatt. Everything in this storyline has been centered around a theme that was born out of his creativity. Thus, even the smallest of mistakes can trigger fans.
Interestingly, the result of whether the Wyatt 6 storyline would be a blockbuster or not will soon present itself as the faction may potentially debut next week.
Uncle Howdy possibly reveals the debut date of the Wyatt 6 faction
So far, the QR code glitches have only been appearing on the episodes of Friday Night SmackDown. However, on June 10, 2024, the QR code glitch flashed on the screen during Monday Night RAW. Upon scanning, the code took the WWE Universe to a very sinister message.
The webpage carried a countdown timer which will end next week on June 18, 2024. Thus, Uncle Howdy may now be striking someone down from the red brand. Will he go after a top gun like Jey Uso to begin his rampage? Or will he take care of a rabid and out-of-line Bron Breakker first? It would be interesting to finally receive all the answers next week on RAW.
