Jey Uso is one of WWE's biggest contributions to the wrestling business in the 21st century. He is incredibly over after years of hard work, predominantly in the tag team division. However, veteran Jim Cornette feels that Uso has not improved in the ring as a singles star.

On the Netflix premiere of RAW last week, Main Event Jey picked up a huge win over Drew McIntyre. Cornette claimed that the bout stunk up the joint before CM Punk and Seth Rollins saved the show in the night's main event.

Speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience podcast, Cornette noted how the former Intercontinental Champion is still supremely over, crediting the latter's hold over the crowd, as opposed to even celebrity rapper Travis Scott, who lacked charisma. Travis had joined Jey for an entrance through the crowd before Uso's match with McIntyre. Despite the popularity, The YEET Master needs to deliver at some point in the ring, believes the former manager, who also threw shade at his twin, Jimmy Uso:

"The Usos matches are just rotten. I'm sorry. They're very important parts of this deal, but the matches — tag team, singles, I don't give a sh**. I haven't seen a f**king four-star match yet. They're sloppy and they don't have good timing," Jim Cornette said. [From 4:45 to 5:04]

Drew McIntyre's lingering issues with The Bloodline have been a focal point of WWE programming the last month. It remains to be seen what Jey Uso's win over him will lead to in the coming weeks.

Jey Uso feels that he let fans down at WWE WrestleMania 40

At WrestleMania 40, Jimmy and Jey Uso locked horns for the first time in their careers. Although the match was highly anticipated ahead of the show, it did not live up to the expectations.

In an interview with Gorilla Position later, Main Event Jey reflected on the opportunity to work with his brother on the grand stage. It had been a dream for a long time, and it finally happened last year. However, time constraints did not help matters, revealed Uso:

"I kinda felt like we did let the people down. [...] I wanted to go out there and have a straight-up banger too. I wanted to do the wrestling part but let alone make sure the emotion part is there. It was just a time issue. You know what I'm saying? You just gotta play your position on the team. That's what happened. I'm still happy though, Uce, I got a singles match at WrestleMania with my brother. That's a big picture," he said.

Jey Uso also noted that if they had another opportunity to try again, perhaps things would have gone differently.
