WWE legend Mark Henry is one of the most respected men in the wrestling business. The World’s Strongest Man recently threw his weight behind WWE’s newest signing.

Jacob Henry, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry, announced his signing to the company during SummerSlam weekend in Cleveland, Ohio.

Jacob is a budding wrestler currently attending the University of Oklahoma, where he competes on the institution’s wrestling team.

Mark Henry recently opened up about his son’s prospects in the industry on the Huge Pop podcast. Henry noted that his son controlled the crowd like a "seasoned veteran" during his SummerSlam announcement.

"He's going to be very, very famous. Like, he's got it and he's also got the sickness," Henry explained. "TJ [Wilson] has the sickness. You can say, 'TJ, who was the champion in 1984 in the AWA?' Bam, he can spit it right at you. Jacob will tell me something about my career, and I go, 'No, that's not true.' Then he goes, 'No, dad, you wrestled so-and-so, and then you went to this place and then you did, what you talking about having that house show or something. TV, this is what happened on TV during that...' I'm like, 'How does he know this?' Because they study. They live it. They love it more than anything."

Henry further stated that his son is deeply in love with wrestling and would move to Orlando in a heartbeat to start training immediately.

"Wait until he gets in the ring every day for six to eight months learning the fundamentals. He's going to be a monster, man," Henry said. (H/T Wrestling Inc.)

WWE fans will have to wait for some time before they can see Jacob Henry competing on their screens. RAW’s move to Netflix could help some young stars like Jacob grow in the future.

Mark Henry took a pay cut to join WWE’s rival company

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry made it big as part of the Stamford-based company. After his days in the ring ended, Henry decided to try his hand at different aspects of the business.

He joined AEW to the surprise of many in the wrestling world. Mark Henry recently revealed that he took a pay cut to join AEW just to share his experience with the next generation of stars.

"I took a pay cut to go work at AEW. Don’t get it twisted. I went there because I wanted to get experience being an executive and I wanted to help that company flourish and help those people that were over there be better than they were and you ask the talent, 'did Mark Henry try to help you?' 'Hell yes. All the time.' He would come and tell me this and I would try it and they would come and, ‘Man! That was good! Thank you.’ That’s what I was working for," Henry said.

The World’s Strongest Man departed from AEW earlier this year. He could return to WWE down the line as his son’s manager if creative thinks it would be a good direction.
