Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about CM Punk's current storyline in the company. The star is in the middle of a bitter feud with Drew McIntyre.

After months of building up the rivalry, the two men finally squared off in the ring at SummerSlam with Seth Rollins as the special guest referee. Drew managed to win that match but Punk came back strongly, claiming that the rivalry would not be over until he got back his bracelet which was in McIntyre's possession.

This week on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Russo detailed that WWE probably wanted to have huge stakes for the CM Punk and Drew rivalry. However, all they could manage was a bracelet with the two men fighting over it. The former writer mentioned that if he was part of the creative team, he would question the storytelling and ask them to come up with something more compelling.

"I can just hear the conversation where they want there to be some stakes. Punk says, 'I got this bracelet with Larry and AJ's name on it.' That's when I'm standing there and I'm looking at Punk and this is exactly what I'm doing, 'Really bro? A three-dollar bracelet?' That's what I'm saying, bro." [From 19:53 onwards]
