WWE announcer Samantha Irvin has shared some heartbreaking family news on social media. The 35-year-old is signed to Monday Night RAW and is the ring announcer for the red brand.
Irvin was introduced to professional wrestling by WWE Hall of Famer and former World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry. The company hired her as the ring announcer for 205 Live before she debuted in NXT and eventually moved up to the main roster in 2022.
On Twitter/X, Irvin dedicated an emotional message to her late mother and explained her importance throughout her life and career.
"My mother committed suicide in 2018 when my daughter was just 3 months old. It has been very hard to make decisions without her since she was always the person I bounced every idea off of. She taught me music, she refined my singing. She helped me place 1st chair, win talent shows, land roles, and get straight A’s-and so I trusted her opinion above all. She was a musical genius but also mentally ill," wrote Samantha Irvin.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
The post further read:
"I spent my young life constantly trying to make her laugh, trying to convince her that life was good & worth it, and working to reach a mountaintop where I could save my family, truly. I have never questioned whether I would succeed because from a small age my mother built me up to believe in myself. I always have and I still do."

Ricochet discussed Samantha Irvin's reaction to him joining AEW
Ricochet discussed his fiancée Samantha Irvin's reaction to him signing with All Elite Wrestling. Earlier this year, the former WWE Intercontinental Champion departed the company to sign with AEW.
On Talk Is Jericho, the former WWE Superstar said the following:
"It definitely was a thought, but we have a really good relationship. Whether it’s her or me or vice versa, we’re like, what is really going to make you the happiest, and then we help that partner get there. She understands the type of artist that I am and the wrestler that I am. She understands, not being stifled, but not being pushed to your full potential. She's like, 'What's going to make you the happiest will make all of us the happiest because as a group, we're going to be happy.'"
Despite Ricochet signing with AEW, Samantha Irvin decided to continue as RAW's ring announcer.
