The legend appeared at the end of WWE Bad Blood to have a staredown with Roman Reigns after the unlikely duo defeated The Bloodline at the premium live event last month.

Former WWE writer claims the company made a mistake with The Rock at Bad Blood

Wrestling legend Vince Russo recently stated that the promotion made a mistake by having The Rock appear at WWE Bad Blood.

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns met at Georgia Tech earlier this year ahead of their tag team match against The Bloodline. The former rivals agreed to work together to take on the faction during the segment.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo show, the veteran stated that The People's Champion should have made a cameo during the promo at Georgia Tech if the company knew he would be showing up at the premium live event on October 5.

"The idea with The Rock coming out at the end and being on the other side. In theory, that's a good idea because The Bloodline B Team needs The Rock, there's no question about that. This is the problem, what I don't understand about them. When they [Rhodes and Reigns] did the whole thing at Georgia Tech, the 50-yard line and all, they know Rock is going to be on the show in Atlanta and that's what I don't understand about the company [WWE]. The minute they did the 50-yard line and they agreed to team up, why didn't we at least hear from The Rock on video?" (1:50 - 3:04)
