The Rock returned to in-ring action earlier this year at WWE WrestleMania XL after eight years. The Stamford-based company has seemingly teased another return for The Final Boss.

The former WWE Champion teamed up with Roman Reigns to defeat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on Night 1 of The Show of Shows. On Night 2, he tried to help The Head of the Table retain his title against The American Nightmare to no avail. The 52-year-old made his last appearance on the RAW following 'Mania when he had an intense conversation with Cody Rhodes.

Over the years, WWE has been notorious for dropping hints about returning superstars with its videos. The wrestling promotion recently shared a playlist featuring clips of superstars making a return to the company, including Seth Rollins, Uncle Howdy, Tiffany Stratton, and The Rock. Although there has not yet been an official announcement of his comeback, Dwayne Johnson might make his return to WWE programming.

WWE Hall of Famer praises The Rock's work ethic amid absence

The Rock is one of the most popular names, not only in the wrestling world but also in Hollywood. Former WWE Superstar Mark Henry praised the multi-time World Champion for the hard work he has put in over the years.

During an appearance on The Busted Open Podcast, the 53-year-old praised the real-life Bloodline member for his incredible work ethic. Henry recalled how The People's Champion used to practice his promos in his room. The World's Strongest Man further claimed that the latter was the most hardworking superstar:

"[How was it living with The Rock?] Frustrating... Dwayne did not become The Rock by accident. There's nobody in the history of wrestling I think that practiced and thought about who he wanted to be more than him. I remember hearing him practicing promos in his room. And then there'd be randomly, 'Hey man, what are you watching?' 'Oh man, I'm watching...' 'It doesn't matter what you're...' I'm like, 'Man, stop doing that sh*t, man, please. I'm begging you...' He's the most study guy I've been around. There ain't nobody that worked harder than him, never," said Henry.

The Great One recently suffered an unfortunate elbow injury while working on his upcoming movie, The Smashing Machine. The Hollywood star, however, later revealed he was recovering well. It remains to be seen if and when he will return to the squared circle.
