WWE is set to make a major change to the 2025 Royal Rumble. The promotion has also signed a multi-year deal.

Royal Rumble is one of World Wrestling Entertainment's biggest premium live events of the year. It is named after the eponymous match in which 30 superstars compete to determine who will main event WrestleMania. It is the first PLE of the company's calendar year in January. However, that is subject to change next year.

WrestleVotes is reporting that World Wrestling Entertainment and Indiana Sports Corp have signed a multi-year even deal, which will begin with the 2025 Royal Rumble at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Moreover, it is also reported that the show will take place on February 1 next year, a little later than usual.

"WrestleVotes Exclusive: I’m told WWE & the Indiana Sports Corp are nearing a multi-event deal, starting with the 2025 Royal Rumble at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday, February 1st, 2025. In addition, the deal is likely to include a future WrestleMania & SummerSlam, which would both take place at Lucas Oil Stadium."

WWE set to make a major change to NXT later this year

NXT has been a breeding ground for younger talent. The brand has produced several top stars who have achieved great success in the Stamford-based promotion. The show used to air on the WWE Network for several years before shifting to the USA Network.

The CW Network recently released its Fall 2024 lineup of shows, and part of this lineup was NXT, which will shift to this network starting October 1 in its regular 8 PM EST time slot.

It will be interesting to see if the Stamford-based promotion will make any presentation changes to NXT after moving it to the CW Network.
