Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell believes Roman Reigns' return would mark the beginning of a new chapter in the company. The star has been off TV for a few months.
Reigns was last seen on WWE TV at WrestleMania XL. He lost the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes after a historic reign with the title. Since then, fans have been clamoring for The Tribal Chief's return.
This week on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk podcast, Mantell detailed that whenever Roman Reigns decided to return the pop would be incredible. He felt Reigns and Cody would eventually team up at some point for a huge matchup. The veteran manager also claimed that The Rock would be another major return and the creative team has huge storylines ready that will carry them for a year.
"Roman, when he comes back, the lid's gonna blow up. I don't think they can fill up these stadiums up anymore. But when Roman comes back and aligns with Cody, which is what the stars I think are saying, maybe not right away but it will happen. I think the stadium, they'll be overflowing. Then guess who we're waiting on. We're waiting on the Rock. When the Rock comes back, that's what I'm saying they got a year laid out ahead of them." [23:05 onwards]
