However, CM Punk got involved and attacked McIntyre, leading to Priest retaining the title. As a result of the loss, Rollins cannot challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship again as long as The Archer of Infamy is champion.
Drew McIntyre has also been indefinitely suspended from the promotion after putting his hands on RAW General Manager Adam Pearce following Money in the Bank.
Big E comments on CM Punk's interference at WWE Money in the Bank
Former WWE Champion Big E has shared his thoughts on CM Punk getting involved in the World Heavyweight Championship match at Money in the Bank.
During the Money in the Bank post-show, The New Day member noted that he has been friends with the former AEW star for a long time and that he excels in chaotic situations. Big E added that Punk doesn't care if he upsets anyone and poked fun at Wade Barrett for calling for the controversial star to be fired following Clash at the Castle.
"Look, once again, I can't say that too many of us are shocked. I've been friends with Punk for a long time, he's been good to me. But he's what I would refer to as an agent of chaos. He is someone who is very polarizing and he doesn't have any issue upsetting people and clearly he's upset you many times, Wade." [From 53:46 to 54:02]
