WWE analyst Peter Rosenberg recently discussed John Cena's possible run during his retirement tour in 2025. Rosenberg also believes the Triple H-led creative team might have already spoiled their big plans for The Cenation Leader.

At the WWE Money in the Bank 2023 Premium Live Event, Cena made a surprise appearance to address the crowd. During the promo, the 16-time world champion broke the heartbreaking news of his retirement. The star revealed that he would hang up his boots at the end of 2025.

Since then, WWE has announced multiple appearances for John Cena throughout 2025, including RAW's Netflix debut, Royal Rumble, and Elimination Chamber. However, people also want the company to put another world title on Cena and make him a 17-time world champion, taking his tally one ahead of Ric Flair.

During a recent edition of his Cheap Heat podcast, Peter Rosenberg said that he believed John Cena should break Ric Flair's record to win his 17th World Championship.

WWE's veteran backstage analyst also highlighted that the Stamford-based promotion has been calling the 47-year-old 'the greatest of all time,' which might be a spoiler that the company has already planned for John to surpass Flair.

"I would just like him to maybe win [a top match]... Don't you have to have him beat Flair's record? Just think about this for a second. Think about the corporate entity that this company has become. Why would he not? From a corporate standpoint... They've been already calling him the greatest of all time, make him the greatest of all time. Can you at least make it true? You have the choice. Give him 17 championships," he said. [33:16 - 34:19]

It remains to be seen what the Stamford-based promotion has planned for John Cena's run in 2025.
