Money in the Bank 2024 is almost here, and much of the focus is on who will be the next owner of the men's briefcase. On a recent episode of his podcast, Freddie Prinze Jr. explained why some of the names in the MITB Ladder Match, including Andrade, are not being positioned to win.
Jey Uso, Andrade, Carmelo Hayes, Drew McIntyre, Chad Gable, and LA Knight will compete in a Ladder Match to become Mr. Money in the Bank on July 6.
For starters, Freddie Prinze Jr. didn't believe Drew McIntyre could have the MITB contract, as the Scottish star's fundamental mission was to get redemption against CM Punk.
The former WWE writer, while speaking on Wrestling with Freddie, also ruled out Carmelo Hayes as a potential winner, saying it was still too soon for the four-time champion to pick up such a monumental win on the main roster.

While Prinze Jr. personally wanted Andrade to win, he felt the Triple H-led WWE wouldn't give the recently returned star much love. He also spoke about Chad Gable's prospects, as you can view below.
"I don't think it would be Carmelo Hayes. It's way too early, and he is still working out his promos. They've got time with him. I want it to be Andrade, but it's not going to be Andrade; they are not going to give him that much love this early in this return to WWE. Chad Gable is interesting, but he just had a great story, and he just might turn to help someone else now instead of having the spotlight solely on him." [18:00 onwards]
Freddie Prinze Jr. picks his Money in the Bank winner between Jey Uso and LA Knight
Following a brief yet sensible breakdown of the Money in the Bank lineup, Freddie Prinze Jr. ended up with two names as the favorites: LA Knight and Jey Uso.
The top babyfaces are due for a big victory, and there aren't many as significant as capturing the Money in the Bank briefcase.
Prinze Jr. predicted Jey Uso would win the MITB contract and eventually have a World Heavyweight Championship showdown with Gunther, who is expected to win the belt in the future.
"Jey Uso or LA Knight. I'm going to give you a chance to gain a point here, Jeff, but I genuinely think Jey Uso is going to win the Money in the Bank, and it's going to be his time somewhere." [18:58 - 19:20]
This year's MITB Premium Live Event has been promoted around Jey Uso, who is the clear front-runner to win the lucrative briefcase for the first time in his career. Will he actually pull it off, or will WWE have a surprising outcome in store for fans? We should find out soon.
