The past few weeks have been a rollercoaster for Eddy Thorpe on WWE NXT. Last Tuesday, he was physically confronted by Shawn Michaels and blamed for General Manager Ava being taken out during a backstage altercation. However, this week, Thorpe got what he wanted.

In a Last Chance Qualifying Fatal Four-Way Match, Thorpe defeated Lexis King, Cedric Alexander, and Axiom to secure his spot in the Men's Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline. After the match, a confident Eddy declared he would win the Iron Survivor Challenge, claiming no one deserved it more than him.

However, in a shocking twist, Thorpe’s participation in the match may now be in jeopardy. During the show's closing moments, cameras revealed a chaotic scene backstage. Several referees were attending to a seemingly unconscious Thorpe in the locker room after what looked like a mystery assault.
