This week's WWE RAW featured the semifinals of the 2024 Queen and King of the Ring tournaments. Lyra Valkyria and Gunther booked their spots in the finals after securing massive victories on the program. During the show, fans also witnessed the return of Sonya Deville after nine months. Hall of Fame journalist Bill Apter has now reacted to Deville's comeback.
Sonya Deville suffered a torn ACL during a match on the July 28, 2023, episode of SmackDown. Hence, she was forced to take a break from in-ring action, marking the end of her Women's Tag Team Title reign with Chelsea Green. On Monday, Deville returned as part of a backstage segment, where she approached Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark for a discussion.
Baszler ultimately rebuked the returning star and walked away. On Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Bill Apter said he was glad to see Sonya Deville back in WWE. However, the Hall of Famer added that the 30-year-old's return wasn't impactful.
"It just, like I said, it just kinda passed me by while I was watching it. It didn't have any impact to [sic] me," said Apter. (50:20 - 50:27)

Apter further went on to call Deville's interaction with Baszler and Stark a "filler" segment. It will be interesting to see how the former champion will be booked upon her comeback.
