While it may appear that WWE has cut all ties with Vince McMahon due to the allegations against him, a veteran thinks that may not exactly be the case. Vince Russo believes the Stamford-based promotion is subtly involved in the upcoming Netflix docuseries about McMahon.
The disturbing accusations against the former WWE CEO has caused much controversy so far, with veterans and fans picking sides over the last few months. The announcment of the docuseries has brought McMahon back into the spotlight. According to ex-head writer Vince Russo, the company subtly changed a detail about the series before its release.
On the latest episode of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, Russo said WWE wants the show to air and clarify that McMahon is no longer associated with the company.

Randy Orton previously commented on Vince McMahon not being part of WWE
While Randy Orton is appreciative of the opportunities provided to him by Vince McMahon, he thinks that it is good to have the veteran promoter retire at this point and hand the reins to Triple H.
In an exclusive interview with Bill Apter for Sportskeeda Wrestling, The Viper talked about the company's current environment.
"All the opportunities he [Vince McMahon] gave me, it's nice having him out of there and it's nice having his son-in-law, Triple H, running the game. Nick Khan's great. Everybody in TKO that's come in, stepped in, they seem to get it, and it's just a different era," Orton said. [4:19 – 4:35]
