WWE SuperShow Results: Current champion suffers embarrassing loss, huge SummerSlam rematch for Gunther, Cody Rhodes in action (Fort Myers, 08/18)

After an entertaining show in Lakeland on Saturday, the WWE roster stopped over in Fort Myers, Florida, for a house show on Sunday, August 18. The show featured multiple title matches with top stars from both RAW and SmackDown in action.

The show kicked off with a six-max tag team match where Kofi Kingston and Odyssey Jones were joined by Braun Strowman in their match against The Judgment Day. World Tag Team Champions Finn Balor and JD McDonagh represented the heel faction along with Carlito. However, the champions were on the losing end as Strowman and Co. proved too much for them.

Elsewhere on the card, Sami Zayn defeated Ludwig Kaiser in a singles match, while Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa successfully defended the WWE Tag Team Championship against Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano.

Next up, Gunther put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Damian Priest. Like their match at SummerSlam, The Ring General once again managed to come out on top. Priest was attacked by The Judgment Day after the match. However, The Archer of Infamy managed to fight off the heel faction on his own.

The only women's match on the card saw Naomi defeat Chelsea Green. Randy Orton was also in action in Fort Myers. The Legend Killer joined forces with Kevin Owens to defeat The A-Town Down Under.

The event was headlined by Cody Rhodes, who faced Solo Sikoa in a Street Fight. The American Nightmare defeated The Bloodline star to conclude an action-packed evening.
