WWE SuperShow Results: Three massive returns, AJ Styles' new mask, Cody Rhodes' emotional surprise (Osaka, 07/25)

The WWE entourage traveled to Japan for a star-studded series of shows. The first live event took place last night in Osaka.

Right off the bat, the Japanese fans were in for a surprise as Asuka made her return to open the show and cut a promo. The Empress of Tomorrow is currently out of action due to injury but she was at ringside during IYO Sky's match against Liv Morgan.

WWE doesn't often organize shows in Japan, but whenever they do, they try to book the biggest names on the roster, and this time was no exception. Sami Zayn defended his Intercontinental Championship against Dominik in the second match of the evening. WWE began the house show with three consecutive title matches. The Judgment Day put their tag team belts up against The New Day, followed by a fantastic singles showdown between Gunther and Rey Mysterio.

Meiko Satomura also returned to a WWE ring after over a year to team up with Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, and Bayley against Damage CTRL and Tiffany Stratton in a tag team match.

Despite Damian Priest and Jey Uso battling it out in a World Heavyweight Championship bout, the rivals were involved in a rare live event moment as they both did the "yeet" taunt together. Before the main event, fans witnessed a fun tag team match featuring LA Knight and Kevin Owens against The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga.

The headliner of the night unsurprisingly saw Cody Rhodes in action. The Undisputed WWE Champion defended his title against Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles, who wrestled in his first WWE match after saying "I Quit" at Clash at the Castle. The Phenomenal One was even spotted wearing a mask during his entrance, as you can view below:

As expected, The American Nightmare retained his title and also made a young fan's day after the match by bringing him into the ring and giving him the best surprise he could imagine.
