WWE has signed several wrestlers with incredible potential so far to its ID program. The company has now teased another major signing.
WWE has been focused on the development of younger talent. They have invested massive time and money to create an environment that could be a breeding ground for the future stars of the industry.
NXT was the first major step in this direction. Following this, the Stamford-based promotion announced its NIL program to provide collegiate athletes with a pathway to the company. Recently, the Stamford-based promotion took things a step further when they announced their ID program to provide independent wrestlers and wrestling schools assistance to make it to the next level.
Over the past several weeks, the company has been busy recruiting several wrestlers to its ID program. Recently, the promotion posted on social media an image of a wrestler's intense eyes but didn't reveal who it was. However, the company hinted that this person could be signed soon. This could be a well-known star since the Stamford-based promotion hid most of his face.
Booker T commented on ROW being part of the WWE ID program
When WWE announced its ID program, it also gave details of the first set of wrestling schools that would get the ID designation. This included Cody Rhodes' Nightmare Factory, Booker T's Reality of Wrestling, Seth Rollins' Black and Brave Academy, Elite Pro Wrestling Training Center, and KnokX Pro Academy.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T commented on what it meant for ROW to be part of the ID program. He highlighted the years of hard work that went into making this dream a reality. He was also excited to be in a position where he could help the next generation of wrestlers.
"Many, many years we've been working on becoming a developmental program for WWE and never knew if it was ever gonna happen or not but we just kept grinding, man. We just kept working, no matter what, day in and day out, we came in with that vision that perhaps, you know, and if not, we just going to keep trying to create the best we possibly can create and now 20 years, man, 20 years. That's why for me it's real. It's surreal as it possibly can be. I'm serious now in a position where we can really really help the next generation of young guys trying to get into this business as well as create a monster man and that is Reality of Wrestling."
