Bill Apter said recently that a former WWE World Champion rumored to be on his way out of the company has been handled poorly so far. According to the veteran journalist, Triple H could possibly retain him with a new contract after his current one expires.
The star in question is Bobby Lashley, who has won the World Championship twice. Despite his impressive skill and imposing physique, Bill Apter believes that the creative department has handled Bobby badly enough that he is currently not relevant in the active scene. With his contract reportedly expiring, many believe he is on his way out of WWE.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis, Bill Apter stated:
"Bobby Lashley is a magnificent athlete. He comes out to the ring when he is not wrestling, in a suit he looks like a fine person in the WWE. He demands respect. You can feel the respect there. Even though they gave him a championship, I don't think they've given him enough. I think he should still be in that top tier. I think they could have done a lot more with him. But I don't see him leaving, I think he is gonna stay there." [1:22 onwards]

Bill Apter thinks another WWE Superstar may be let go by the company
While Bobby Lashley may be retained by the company, Bill Apter said MVP may not get the same treatment.
On the same episode of The Wrestling Time Machine, the veteran journalist talked about how MVP was probably not as valued as The All Mighty. According to him, the former WWE World Champion would not be a good fit for AEW.
"I don't think they value MVP as much as they value Bobby Lashley. Losing Bobby Lashley to AEW, which is, of course, possible, would, I don't know if it would help AEW, where they put him. He might be great for a few weeks, then all of a sudden where is he again. But I think WWE needs to revisit and look at this classy athlete and keep him on the roster." [1:57 onwards]
As of now, only time will tell what the future holds for him and whether he will be leaving the company soon.
