The previous episode of Monday Night RAW left everyone shocked as Chad Gable attacked his long-time and now former friend, Sami Zayn. Having had enough of his failure to win the Intercontinental Championship, Gable snapped as he beat Zayn relentlessly in his hometown of Montreal. It was a brutal sight, that has the WWE Universe questioning Gable's sudden change.
Following the attack, WWE shared a story on Instagram, hoping to gather the opinions of the fans. They wanted to know if Chad Gable's decision to attack the current Intercontinental Champion was justified. It would seem as though the WWE Universe is somewhat divided in its opinion.
Fifty-five percent of the fans believe that Chad Gable made the right choice and needed to attack Sami Zayn. At the same time, 45% of them also believe that it was uncalled for. While things currently stand in the favor of the Alpha Academy leader, it's clear to see that these are fine margins, and fans are still divided over his decision.
If one thing is certain, it's that the next few weeks are going to be tense on RAW. Sami Zayn will surely be looking for answers, and Gable is the only one who can provide them. This will inevitably lead to another clash between the two, and when that happens, respect will likely be out the window.
Bronson Reed may insert himself into this clash between Chad Gable and Sami Zayn
As things stand, it seems like Chad Gable and Sami Zayn will meet in the ring at least one more time, perhaps at a premium live event. Whether that's the upcoming one, Backlash France, or any of the other PLE beyond that remains to be seen. However, they may not be the only two superstars involved in this developing storyline.
Prior to his match against Zayn on Monday, Gable was confronted by Bronson Reed. The Australian star made it clear that he does not care about the outcome of the match, and that he has his sights set on the Intercontinental Championship. Following the shocking end to RAW last Monday, Reed took to Instagram to reiterate his previous statement.
"I don't care if Chad wants to be a bad boy now, Sami's B*TCH A** better remember who got next!!" posted Reed.
With that in mind, it wouldn't be surprising if this feud turns into a three-way story, with Big Bronson Reed involved. It would certainly add an interesting dynamic to the storyline. But, at this point, there is no telling what's in store.
