Logan Paul has become one of the most popular WWE Superstars in recent times. Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio cleared the air on a particular botch and praised the current United States Champion.

Last year, Logan Paul prevailed in Saudi Arabia when he won the United States Championship from Rey Mysterio. However, a scary moment took place during the match when The Maverick rushed to a spot to catch The Master of 619, who was attempting a Standing Moonsault.

Luckily, Paul caught Mysterio, and the two continued the match. During an appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, the host asked Rey Mysterio about the spot, and the veteran claimed nothing grave would've happened if Paul had missed. He also praised the social media star.

"They're hyping it up. And I know Logan [Paul] took the credit for it. That's funny because I always do that Moonsault, and I tried to advise him that I don't jump out; I jump up. So you might have to take a step in to be at the right spot to catch. He caught me, but if he hadn't been there, I would've just moonsaulted and just landed on my tummy,'' Rey said.

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion added:

''He [Logan Paul] did make a good save and a good catch. Not only did he catch me, but he powered me up. He caught me in a quat position and took me right back up, and we continued. Respect, man!'' (From 1:00:55 to 1:01:45)

Logan Paul has yet to defend the WWE United States Championship after WrestleMania XL

Logan Paul's reign as champion has been pretty questionable for a while, as The Maverick had only two title defenses over the past six months. The 29-year-old star has already become the second-longest reigning WWE United States Champion in the past decade.

However, LA Knight has issues with the star not appearing or defending the prestigious title on WWE SmackDown. Earlier this year, The Maverick defended his title against Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event in Florida and successfully retained it.

Later, he defended it in a Triple Threat match against Randy Orton and Owens in Philadelphia and walked out as champion. LA Knight will likely face the champion for the title at some point. However, it's unclear if it'll happen at Money in the Bank or at The Biggest Party of The Summer.
