Former WWE manager Jim Cornette recently spoke about Kevin Owens' current feud with Cody Rhodes. The two stars have been at odds ever since The American Nightmare agreed to team up with Roman Reigns for Bad Blood 2024.

Bad Blood 2024 was the turning point in Kevin and Cody's friendship. The Prizefighter's deep-seated resentment turned into hatred as he attacked The American Nightmare in the parking area. The whole incident was captured on camera by onlookers and released on social media.

While speaking on a recent episode of his Jim Cornette Experience podcast, the 63-year-old veteran claimed that the creative team was doing a great job with the angle. He pointed out that WWE had blurred the lines between TV and reality to make the feud seem more credible. Cornette lauded the different storytelling by creative.

"So, I like the way they're doing this. You haven't actually seen the footage of the parking lot thing unless you were on social media. But now that they've talked about it, I would think anybody is interested would've seen it. They're still trying to keep the idea that this is unauthorized. They're not promoting it. It's a different approach for once," Jim Cornette said. [2:40 - 3:06]

Kevin Owens was not on WWE SmackDown this past Friday

Last week, Kevin Owens took to X/Twitter to vent his frustrations with WWE. The 40-year-old star claimed that he had spent over a decade with the company and still was not getting the respect that he deserved.

In a video on X/Twitter, Owens mentioned that he had been instructed by officials to take time off and not come for the SmackDown tapings. The Prizefighter mentioned that WWE Superstars had done much worse things to each other and were still welcomed back to work in the past.

Kevin complained that he was being treated unfairly because he attacked WWE's "Golden Boy" Cody Rhodes. He also took issue with Randy Orton siding with The American Nightmare.
