Despite all the success WWE has experienced, the general state of pro wrestling has been quite erratic in recent years due to the Vince McMahon saga. Wrestling veteran Vince Russo recently spoke about McMahon possibly starting a new company and joked about the stars that could be the top names.
Vince McMahon is currently facing tremendous legal heat owing to a lawsuit filed by Janel Grant, accusing him of sexual misconduct and trafficking. While there might be no way back into WWE for the former Chairman, he could always start his own organization if he is legally cleared of the alleged wrongdoings.
In such a scenario, even Brock Lesnar could be free to return to wrestling and Russo stated that VKM, coupled with the support from Lesnar and possibly his son Shane McMahon, could get a lucrative network deal if they began another company. During the conversation on Legion of RAW, Vince Russo quipped that Mustafa Ali could be the champion of the proposed promotion fronted by the McMahons.
Ali infamously had multiple moments with Brock Lesnar in WWE, one being when he was seemingly screwed out of a Money in the Bank win when The Beast Incarnate appeared to knock him off the ladder. Russo found it hilarious that Mustafa Ali and Brock Lesnar could be the ones to carry Vince McMahon's new company if it became a reality.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
On a serious note, Vince legitimately believed that many current AEW stars wouldn't hesitate to work under Vince McMahon if the 79-year-old escaped the repercussions of his various ongoing legal troubles.
"He could be the champion! [Mustafa Ali and Brock Lesnar], there you go, bro, carry the company on their back. I bet you a lot of guys would want to get out of AEW to want to go there, I guarantee you. Guarantee you," he said. [From 15:30 onwards]
A return to pro wrestling, as implausible as it might sound, is something nobody can completely rule out as former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has made a habit of pulling off the unthinkable.
