Kevin Sullivan's accident and recent health concerns have gripped the attention of many, including WWE veteran Dutch Mantell, over the last few weeks. The latter also spoke on the issue, requesting others to help in his time of need.

Sullivan is one of the most recognizable names in the pro wrestling industry, having been in the business since the early 1980s. His WCW run is especially noteworthy, where he was a tag team champion at one point. He had a severe accident earlier, which left him hospitalized. A GoFundMe was launched to raise funds to cover the mounting medical expenses.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's SmackTalk, WWE veteran Dutch Mantell discussed the issue and explained why even a celebrity like Kevin needed to launch a GoFundMe for funds.

"This happened back in the early, in the first week of May. Here it is in the first week of July, so he has been kind of in the hospital for two months. And they have a GoFundMe account set up. And some of these fans pissed me off. They said hey he made a lot of money, and he shouldn't be needing help in the hospital. Listen, you know hospitals are expensive, and I don't think he ever had the big runs. He didn't have that guaranteed money," he said. [11:28 onwards]

WWE veteran talked about how his health issues had also led to similar problems

Dutch Mantell himself was hospitalized a while back, which apparently led to a similar issue with his insurance.

Speaking on SmackTalk about Kevin Sullivan, the WWE veteran drew upon his own experiences and explained how hospital bills could cripple patients with bills.

"Same thing happened to me. They'd tell you its time to get out, whether you are ready or not. When your insurance is up, hospitals say well you gotta find something else, you can't stay here. But see when people understand that, now it's not that Kevin needs help, he don't have any money, because the bills are super super high. He can't even do signings, he can't even do anything," Mantell said.

We at Sportskeeda hope for Kevin Sullivan's speedy recovery.
