WWE Superstar Randy Orton recently claimed that he was glad Vince McMahon stepped down from the company. Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell shed light on why The Viper might be relieved by his former boss' exit.
In an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Senior Editor Bill Apter, The Apex Predator shared that the 78-year-old pushed his talent hard, sometimes at the expense of their well-being. The SmackDown star admitted he prefers the new regime of Paul "Triple H" Levesque over Mr. McMahon's, where WWE Superstars' health and personal needs are valued more.
While speaking on his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, the veteran explained why Randy Orton would make a such bold statement about Vince McMahon. The former WWE manager noted that, unlike the previous regime, The Game crafts out a storyline for every superstar rather than having one top guy.
"I'm sure Randy [Orton] was glad to see him [Vince McMahon] gone and I'm glad to see him gone too, really, not just because I don't work for him anymore. But now the ideas are totally totally different. You can watch WWE now and you watch it and now you see how they've spread all these stories out. It's not just one guy, it's not Roman [Reigns] anymore by himself and a partner. Now, they've got other stories down lower almost all the way down to the first match, because every match has a little bit of an edge on it that means something," Mantell said. [From 02:28 to 03:07]

Former WWE host says Randy Orton could dethrone Cody Rhodes
Matt Camp recently suggested that the 14-time World Champion should start a feud with Cody Rhodes so that the two men can lock horns at WWE SummerSlam 2024.
Speaking on his The Wrestling Matt podcast, the former RAW Talk host claimed that Randy Orton should be in his "worst meanest heelest version," to possibly dethrone The American Nightmare at this year's Biggest Party of the Summer.
"It's gotta get that deep. I want the worst meanest heelest version of Randy Orton we can get to take on Cody and I'd have no problem with Randy beating Cody for the title at SummerSlam," Camp said.

After Rhodes retained his WWE Championship against AJ Styles at Clash at the Castle, The Bloodline attacked him. The Viper and Kevin Owens came to the aid of The American Nightmare to even the odds against Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa. It remains to be seen if fans get to witness Randy Orton locking horns against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
