WWE veteran feels a "quick 1-2-3" could end John Cena vs. Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel (Exclusive)

John Cena and Solo Sikoa were face-to-face on SmackDown.

Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell spoke about John Cena vs. Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel.

Ever since his return to WWE, The Cenation Leader has been at odds with The Bloodline. First, Jimmy Uso and Solo attacked his partner, AJ Styles, and put him on the shelf, followed by a brutal beatdown of Cena himself. The 16-time champ managed to get one up over the nefarious duo at Fastlane when he teamed up with LA Knight.

On this week's episode of Smack Talk, Mantell claimed that Solo would be fine even if he loses to Cena. He pointed out that The Street Champ could dominate most of the match but lose the encounter due to a quick roll-up.

"Well, I'm okay with it either way, I really am. You got the show in Saudi Arabia, you wanna leave those fans kinda happy. It doesn't hurt Solo anyway because he's against Cena. He can beat the sh*t out of Cena. And Cena just all of a sudden grabs him for a quick 1-2-3 and he's gone. It doesn't hurt him at all." [From 47:01 to 47:24]

Dave Meltzer feels WWE could protect John Cena's legendary title

On this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, veteran wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer reported that Cena's bout against Solo would be a basic John Cena match. He made it clear that there would be no high spots during the match, which has been typical of Cena's recent encounters.

"To me, I don’t see Cena losing in his role but old-school-wise, with Cena leaving and Sikoa staying, you do go with Sikoa. But Cena is the legend and you can beat Sikoa and it’s fine but on a show like this protecting the legend is my gut. But we all know Sikoa vs. Reigns will be a direction at some point," Meltzer said.

The veteran journalist claimed that the creative team could try and protect John Cena's legendary status and send the crowds home happy with Mr. Hustle Loyalty and Respect going over during the encounter.
