Former WWE manager Jim Cornette recently spoke about Bret Hart's recent appearance on Monday Night RAW. The star made an appearance on the September 9, edition of RAW.
The Hitman got a raucous reception from the fans in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. However, he was interrupted by the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. The Ring General insulted the veteran before Sami Zayn came out to take Hart's side and demand a world title match from the champion.
On a recent episode of the Jim Cornette Experience, the veteran pointed out that Gunther delivered his promo perfectly. Cornette enjoyed how the Ring General built up the legend before announcing that The Hitman was his second favorite after Goldberg, the man who ended Bret's career.
"In Calgary they brought Bret out and then Gunther came out and confronted him. One of the greatest lines ever and Gunther has that dry delivery. He's a German standup comic if he wants to be." He continued, "He put Bret over and how great he was. He did this and he did that and he said, 'Bret Hart I think you're great. You're second only to my all-time favorite wrestler, Bill Goldberg.'
