WWE veteran reacts to Carlito's hilarious heel turn on SmackDown (Exclusive)

On this week's WWE SmackDown, Dragon Lee's mystery attacker was finally revealed to be Carlito. Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell reacted to the heel turn and particularly found Carlito's reactions quite comical.

WWE has been building up the angle involving LWO and Legado Del Fantasma in recent weeks. In a bid to expose the man who attacked Dragon Lee, Santos Escobar played the security footage from the incident after the LWO vs. LDF tag match last night.

Carlito was in the ring alongside Rey Mysterio, Zelina Vega, and Dragon Lee as everyone witnessed what he had done. The former US Champion cemented his heel turn by shoving Lee into Mysterio before fleeing the scene.

While reviewing the segment on Smack Talk, Dutch Mantell said he liked the heel turn very much because of how Carlito performed throughout the angle. It was pretty hilarious to see Carlito act innocent until he had no option but to run away from the scene.

"I kind of liked it," said Dutch Mantell. "Now, you have to have liked Carlito's face when he saw it; he threw him over there (at Rey Mysterio), and then he took off (laughs). That was good." [From 48:50 onwards]

Carlito's heel turn was a long time coming, as WWE had already dropped hints about his real intentions despite being a member of Rey Mysterio's LWO.

The veteran star's character change opens the door to several new angles and matches on SmackDown as the feud between LWO and Legado Del Fantasma sees another twist.
