A WWE veteran recently addressed the possibility of entering the Hall of Fame. He claimed he would turn down the opportunity if it was offered to him.

The veteran in question is none other than Jonathan Coachman. The Coach spent almost a decade in the Stamford-based company, during which he played several on-screen roles, before leaving in 2008 to pursue other options. Ten years later, the 51-year-old returned for a second stint. It ended on bad terms in 2021 as he called out former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon for allegedly owing him money.

In a recent interview with Cafe de Rene, Coachman was asked by a fan whether he would accept a WWE Hall of Fame induction. The former RAW Interim General Manager stated that he would not, claiming there is "no Hall of Fame:"

"Nope, I would not. And it's not just about how things ended because you get over money. Money comes and goes. I'll never take money problems to my grave. But I look at how they do the WWE induction. First of all, invest in a building. There is no Hall of Fame, right? There's no Hall of Fame. Like, there's no place for you to go and look at your bust. There's no way for you to go," he said.

The Coach then claimed the company usually follows a certain pattern in picking the Hall of Fame inductees every year. He stated that the list of inductees must include a female, manager, and 1970s star, instead of those who earned it:

"And when you look at some of the names, you're like, what are we doing? The Hall of Fame is supposed to be the absolute very best at what they do whether it's a manager, talent, whatever. And that's not what they do. They check boxes every year so they can have a good show. That's what they do and it's obvious that's what they do. So, no, I would have no interest in being in the WWE Hall of Fame." [From 58:22 to 59:34]

Will Jonathan Coachman return to WWE under Triple H's regime?

While Jonathan Coachman left the Stamford-based company on bad terms with Vince McMahon, he recently addressed whether he would consider returning to WWE under Triple H's new regime.

The former color commentator stated he would if it happened under the "right situation." He would either like to become a high-level manager or play his heel Coach character:

"Would I go back now? It would have to be the right situation. I would never do a three-man booth again. And I would only go back and either be a really high-level manager or I would be my heel, you know, heel Coach character. You know, I always walk around with these [wears his glasses], you know what I mean? And, you know, I transform from the nice guy to heel Coach like that [snaps his fingers]," he said.

Several former superstars have returned to WWE since Triple H took over creative leadership. It would be interesting to see if The Game would try to re-sign The Coach.
