Wrestling veteran Vince Russo has worked in multiple companies throughout his career, including WWE. According to him, at certain points in his time in the business, he was the best.

Russo's hand in shaping the Attitude Era cannot be ignored, as he was responsible for bringing in some of the best ratings and viewership numbers in the history of WWE at one time. Furthermore, he had also found some success in WCW, although not as much as the Stamford-based promotion. In one of the storylines, he became the WCW World Heavyweight Champion in 2000.

On this week's episode of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, the conversation turned to Vince Russo's WCW career. When asked about what the title win meant to him, he stated:

"Means the world. It means at one time I was the best in the business bro." [1:41 onwards]

The WWE veteran recently talked about why he was not in the Vince McMahon Netflix Docuseries

Despite being an integral part of WWE's creative department at one point, he was apparently not invited to appear in the Netflix docuseries about Vince McMahon.

Speaking on another episode of The Wrestling Outlaws, Russo explained the reason. He said:

"No, no, never. Bro, you gotta understand, Chris, this started as a WWE project. No way they're calling Vince Russo. Here's the thing I say, Chris, to this day Vince McMahon still wants you to believe that there aren't writers. To this day. And my thing is, bro, anybody that saw this documentary, with everything Vince had to do as the owner and the CEO of this company and everything Vince was responsible [for], do people actually think Vince was sitting down and writing a television show?"
