According to former WWE writer Vince Russo, there is a distinct lack of black and female writers in pro wrestling promotions. This has led to several poor booking decisions across the history of the business.
When speaking about MVP's recent comments regarding how The Hurt Business was booked, Vince Russo questioned whether the company was even capable of proficiently booking black superstars. After much discussion, the veteran concluded that there was simply not enough diversity in the brand's creative department to pull off proper storylines.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, Russo stated:
"Here is the question. Do white writers and white creative people know how to write and book for black people? That's really the question and the answer to that is no. The answer to that is no just like a white guy. A white guy doesn't know how to book a woman, he is not a woman. He doesn't know how to book a woman. So yes, there should be more black writers. There should be more female writers." [2:48 onwards]

The WWE veteran had also previously criticized Bobby Lashley's booking
According to Vince Russo, former Hurt Business member Bobby Lashley was misused during his run last year.
Taking the example of a particular WWE match between him and Seth Rollins, which saw Matt Riddle interfering, the veteran explained on Legion on RAW:
"They're doing nothing with him, zero bro. This was an opportunity for them to use Riddle and give him a good win. Okay, and what does that do? Is anybody saying after this match, 'Oh my God, Bobby Lashley beat Seth Rollins.' Is there one person saying that?" Russo argued. [From 9:00 - 9:23]
As of now, The All Mighty is out of action and expected to return sooner rather than later in WWE.
