Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell spoke about Tessa Blanchard making a return to the wrestling scene. The 29-year-old star appeared on TNA Wrestling this week.
Blanchard grabbed headlines this past week as she showed up at TNA Wrestling's Final Resolution event. She seized the spotlight by attacking current Knockouts star Jordynne Grace during her match against Rosemary.
This week on Smack Talk, Mantell pointed out that she has been off TV for a long time. The former WWE manager detailed that the third-generation star was extremely talented, and this was her opportunity to build back her career. He wished Tessa luck and hoped she would do well this time around.
"Well, she's been out of the limelight for quite a while. She's served her out of the limelight period." He continued, "They kicked her off TV, and she has too much talent for that. So, I'm glad for her, and let's see if she can build on this. I know her father very well. I don't know what her dad told her. Maybe her dad told her, 'Screw them. You're gonna go as far as you're gonna go.' If TNA is her ticket to get back, more power to her." [From 48:32 onwards]
Tessa Blanchard also worked in WWE back in 2016 when she competed in the NXT brand. She was also part of the Mae Young Classic in 2017, losing her first-round match to eventual winner Kairi Sane.
