Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston shocked the WWE Universe in a major way this month amid The New Day's 10th anniversary celebration on RAW. Big E is still unable to wrestle due to the serious cervical spine fracture from SmackDown in March 2022, but he did reveal a new WWE role. However, that gig was quickly dismissed by Kofi and Xavier, who are now tossing accusations around.
The New Day kicked off the final month of the year by holding its first in-ring reunion since Big E's 2022 injury. The December 2 RAW featured the 10th anniversary celebration of the three-man squad, and Big E's announcement on how he was returning to be a manager for his longtime friends in hopes of nixing the brewing tension. However, Kofi and Xavier had other things in mind as they lashed out at the 38-year-old, then accused him of abandoning the group when he was injured. Turning heel for the first time since 2016, Kingston and Woods proceeded to run Big E down and booted him from The New Day.
Mr. Steal Yo Girl has been big on props and merchandise as a member of WWE's most popular trio, and the same goes for The Boom Squad General. Xavier Woods began using a trombone at one point, named Francesca, which he played at ringside during matches. Chris Jericho destroyed "her" but Woods later introduced the "sister," known as Francesca II, and that same year in Scotland he unveiled a set of bagpipes, also known as Francesca's "Scottish cousin" named Agnes.
Woods has also had Francesca II Turbo, and her replacement, as the trombone has been a big part of his character. This is why it came as no surprise when the tag team veteran took to X and expressed disappointment at the sight of Big E playing a trombone and really enjoying himself on the sidelines of The Rate Bowl at Chase Field in Phoenix, where Kansas State defeated Rutgers. Woods also accused Big E of being the real bad guy in the situation.
"Playing in my face, mocking my craft, but I'm the bad guy?" Xavier Woods wrote.
Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston have continued to take shots at Big E during their RAW promos. Their heel turn has also progressed, which included a controversial segment with Kofi's mother in Boston last week.

WWE returned to Madison Square Garden in New York City on Thursday for its annual post-Christmas tour of non-televised live events. The show ended up being very close to sold out, with WrestleTix reporting 12,324 distributed tickets on a setup of 13,739. As of one hour before showtime, 1,415 tickets were available.
The New Day cut heel promos to boos before the match, complaining about how they had to leave their families at home to come wrestle in a city that smells like urine. Otis controlled most of the bout and had fans chanting his name as he did The Worm for a close two count. While the referee was distracted, Kofi Kingston kicked Otis from the apron, allowing Xavier Woods to deliver the flying elbow for the pin to win.
The World's Most Famous Arena announced that WWE's flagship show will return for a live RAW on March 10, 2025. This will be the first red brand episode to air from The Garden since the episode on July 25, 2022, which drew 13,379 fans with a main event of The Usos and Roman Reigns vs. Riddle and The Street Profits.
