Xavier Woods doesn't seem to be in the right mindset. Following his defeat on Monday Night RAW and subsequent backstage meltdown, he put out a rather bizarre tweet.
In case you missed it - Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston challenged The Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh for the World Tag Team Titles. A win would've made Kofi and Xavier 13-time Tag Team Champions. Xavier had it in the bag until an inadvertent distraction caused by Kofi Kingston himself following interference by the LWO.
The interaction distracted the referee when Woods was in a clear-cut winning moment. This was the cause of frustration for Woods - who has been angry with Kofi Kingston for quite a while now.
On Twitter, Xavier Woods put out what appeared to be a previously scheduled post - stating that he would reclaim the titles "tonight". The weird part about it was that this was posted exactly 55 minutes after RAW's broadcast ended for the week. All the replies pointed out the fact that he posted the message a little too late:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Is WWE pushing through on the Xavier Woods angle even without Odyssey Jones?
Perhaps the mistimed scheduled tweet was an intentional move meant to represent his character going into a spiral. Backstage, Kofi Kingston had to clarify that he asked the LWO to help out. According to Xavier Woods, this directly cost them the title and he was outraged by the fact that they knew more about the strategy for the match than he did.
The tease of a break-up was heavily hinted at when Odyssey Jones came about - but now that he's gone, there were questions about whether it would still happen. It looks like the answer to that is a clear and concrete "yes".
It's going to be interesting to see the direction WWE takes with Woods and Kofi Kingston going forward. They're only two months away from The New Day's 10-year anniversary.
There's also a possibility of a Big E return - something that has been anticipated since early 2022.
