The New Day's Xavier Woods took a major shot at WWE fans ahead of tonight's episode of SmackDown. The veteran and Kofi Kingston recently turned heel on RAW.
Big E returned to celebrate The New Day's 10th anniversary on the December 2 edition of the red brand, but it did not go as planned. The former WWE Champion offered to become Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods' manager, but they were not interested and degraded him for not being there for the faction while recovering from the broken neck he suffered in 2022.
Xavier Woods took to his X (fka Twitter) account ahead of tonight's episode of SmackDown and mocked fans who asked the star for his autograph at the airport in the morning. He shared a humorous meme and suggested that these fans did not have the best hygiene.
"For those of you who are at the airport at 6am begging for pictures and autographs so you can resell them online," he wrote.
Rey Mysterio kicked The New Day out of the WWE locker room after they turned their backs on Big E earlier this month.
Former WWE star shares possible explanation for The New Day's heel turn
Former WWE Superstar EC3 recently shared his thoughts on Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods turning heel and noted that it was time for the faction to make a change.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Outlaws, the former NWA champion stated that the group had been doing the same thing for a long time. He noted that they have always had a spot on television, but it was time to evolve.
"As a performer, 10 years of doing that act, you get it and you know, 'I'm just rehashing the same old stuff,' especially 10 years on the road with the WWE," EC3 stated. "They had big angles and big moments and they've always had a spot. I think a lot of the time Vince is right with creative being inept. It's like, 'We need good guys to do something stupid here. Ah, send The New Day, whatever.'" [4:51 – 5:17]

Big E has not competed in a match since suffering a broken neck on the March 11, 2022, episode of SmackDown. Only time will tell what the company has planned for the popular faction following their heel turn earlier this month.
