RAW Superstar Xavier Woods reacted to Kofi Kingston's post on X (Twitter) on Thursday and seemingly teased an angle for The New Day members in the coming days. Woods' comment came after the Stamford-based company seemingly released Odyssey Jones amid domestic abuse allegations against the 30-year-old.
The Triple H-led creative team has teased the breakup of The New Day since Karrion Kross insinuated that Woods needed to look out for himself. Jones' arrival last month added fuel to the rumors of the erstwhile King of the Ring's possible heel turn. There has been considerable tension between Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods in recent times.
Following the reported departure of Odyssey Jones, it seems like the company is moving forward, and Woods teased what's next for him and Kofi Kingston with his recent post on X. Notably, Xavier celebrated his 38th birthday on September 4. However, Kofi Kingston was a day late in greeting his longtime friend a happy birthday.
Notably, Kingston used blurred images of his tag team partner in his post, leading to speculation that The New Day breakup storyline will continue. Later, the erstwhile King Woods sarcastically responded to Kingston's birthday wishes, teasing a potential betrayal in the coming days.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
"Thank you for the late birthday message!" Woods replied.
Fans claim Kofi Kingston could turn on Xavier Woods
While it was insinuated that Xavier Woods was about to turn on Kofi Kingston after Odyssey Jones' main roster debut, some fans suggested that it should be the other way around. Now that Jones is seemingly out of the picture, the company could shock fans by letting the lovable former WWE Champion become a bad guy.
"With a Jamaican accent, mahn," one fan added.
"When y'all are ready for the Woods heel turn. But in reality, it's Kofi," another fan commented.
It will be interesting to see how The New Day story evolves in the coming weeks on Monday Night RAW.
