"You chokeslammed the f**k out of him" - Logan Paul breaks character to send a message to megastar who's last WWE appearance was 74 days ago

WWE Superstar Logan Paul has established himself as an annoying heel in the Stamford-based promotion. Recently, the former United States Champion was seen breaking character while speaking to the music industry megastar Jelly Roll.

The country music giant and rapper made his last WWE appearance 74 days ago at SummerSlam on August 3, 2024. Notably, he had teamed up with The Miz and R-Truth to beat down Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. His chokeslam on Theory was a big highlight of the premium live event.

During a conversation with Logan Paul on his latest episode of the IMPAULSIVE podcast, Jelly Roll spoke about the incident. This sent The Maverick into appreciation mode and he was overjoyed and described how perfectly the musician had delivered the chokeslam.

“Dude, that was sick. You nailed it. It was so good. Man, I remember seeing that. I was like 'Boy, yes! Yes!' You chokeslammed the fu** out of him,” said Paul. [1:35:01 - 1:35:16]

In response, Jelly Roll appreciated Austin Theory and said that while he was nervous before the big moment, Theory had asked him to just trust him. A-Town is well-known in the WWE for being highly skilled at selling the moves of his opponents, and the chokeslam by Jelly Roll was perhaps one of the best.

Logan Paul said Roman Reigns and Joe Anoa’i are two different persons

While Logan Paul broke away from his heel persona to praise Jelly Roll, he also showered special praise on Roman Reigns a few weeks ago. Speaking on a previous iteration of IMPAULSIVE, The Maverick highlighted how The OTC has the ability to flip a switch inside him and go on and off character.

He also said that Joe Anoa’i, the real name of Reigns, is a different person from the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Additionally, he also indirectly conceded that he won’t be able to make it to the top as long as Reigns and Cody Rhodes don’t retire.

"When you see him in person, it depends, whether he is Joe [Anoa'i] or if he is Roman Reigns. [...] Joe can turn that [aura] on and become Roman and it's really fascinating and cool, because he can be like a regular guy, or he can be the most bada** wrestler that ever lived. So I need them [Reigns and Rhodes] to retire so that I can become number one," Paul said. (1:07 onward)

So far, Logan Paul hasn’t made any appearances following his US Title loss to LA Knight at SummerSlam. It would be interesting to see if and when he returns to SmackDown and demands a rematch or comes with a fresh agenda.
